Model Coordination That Finds Clashes Before They Find Your Budget.

Autodesk Forma for Model Management is the cloud-based platform that brings every discipline model — architecture, structure, MEP, civil — into a single coordinated environment where clashes are detected automatically, issues are assigned and tracked, and the entire project team works from the same live model set.

On GCC construction projects where multiple design consultants, specialist subcontractors and the main contractor all produce models independently, Forma for Model Management is the environment that makes coordination possible at project scale — without email chains, manual clash reports or weekly coordination meetings where nothing gets resolved.

Six Capabilities That Keep GCC Projects Clash-Free from Design to Handover.

Every capability in Forma for Model Management is built to eliminate the coordination failures that cost GCC construction projects time and money — not after they reach site, but before a single element is fabricated or installed.

Automatic Clash Detection

Upload models from any discipline and Forma for Model Management automatically runs clash detection — identifying hard clashes, soft clashes and clearance violations across the full federated model set without manual review.

Multi-Discipline Coordination

Architecture, structure, MEP, civil and specialist subcontractor models are all brought into one federated environment. Every discipline sees every other discipline's model — and every clash is visible to the team responsible for resolving it.

Issue Tracking and Assignment

Clashes become issues assigned to the responsible discipline with a due date, priority and status. The entire coordination log is auditable — every clash detected, every resolution recorded, every sign-off tracked in one place.

Model Change Analysis

When a model is updated and re-uploaded, Forma for Model Management identifies exactly what changed — new clashes introduced, existing clashes resolved, elements moved — so the coordination team focuses review effort where it is actually needed.

Web-Based Access

No Navisworks installation required for reviewers. Project managers, client representatives and subcontractors access the coordinated model, review clashes and track issue resolution from any browser — desktop or mobile.

Forma Data Management Integration

Models published to Forma Data Management are automatically available for coordination — no manual upload, no version control risk. When a design team publishes a new model revision, it flows directly into the coordination environment.

What Happens to GCC Projects Without Proper Model Coordination.

The cost of a clash found on site is between 10 and 100 times the cost of the same clash found during coordination. On a GCC project running at programme pressure with authority submission deadlines and developer milestone payments tied to progress — an uncoordinated model set is a financial and reputational risk.

Problem 01

Clashes reach site because no one owns coordination

On most GCC projects without a formal coordination platform, each discipline issues drawings independently and clashes are only discovered when two trades physically cannot occupy the same space. Rework costs, programme delays and contractual disputes follow. Forma for Model Management makes every clash visible to every team before a single element is fabricated.

Problem 02

Email-based coordination creates an unauditable record

When clash reports are shared by email and resolved by reply, there is no auditable record of what was found, who agreed to resolve it and whether the resolution was implemented. Forma for Model Management creates a complete, timestamped coordination log that protects all parties and satisfies employer BIM delivery requirements.

Problem 03

Model updates create version control chaos

Without a managed coordination environment, teams work on different revisions of the same model without knowing it. Coordination meetings review clashes that have already been resolved — or miss new ones introduced in the latest revision. Forma for Model Management tracks every model revision and highlights exactly what changed.

Problem 04

Authority submissions require BIM coordination evidence

Dubai Municipality BIM requirements, MOMRA digital delivery standards and major GCC developer EIRs increasingly require documented proof that BIM coordination was conducted — not just a statement that models were checked. Forma for Model Management produces the coordination record and clash resolution log that satisfies these requirements.

How Accienta Deploys Forma for Model Management on Your GCC Project.

Most teams that buy Forma for Model Management independently spend the first two to four weeks trying to configure it — setting up projects, uploading models in the wrong format, discovering their naming conventions are incompatible with automatic clash grouping and running their first coordination meeting before the environment is properly structured. Accienta removes every one of those friction points. Your coordination environment is operational, structured and trained before your first coordination meeting.

01

Discovery & Assessment

We audit your current model coordination process

Before configuring anything, Accienta meets with your BIM manager, project director and IT lead to understand your current coordination workflow — how models are currently shared, what disciplines are involved, what your employer information requirements specify and what your coordination meeting cadence looks like. We identify gaps in your current process and define exactly what the Forma for Model Management environment needs to deliver for your specific project.

Review of Employer Information Requirements (EIR) and BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
Assessment of current model authoring tools — Revit, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Civil 3D
Mapping of all project disciplines and responsible parties
Identification of authority submission requirements — Dubai Municipality, MOMRA, Ashghal
Day 1–2 · Discovery workshop
02

Licence & Access Setup

We provision licences and structure your Forma account

Accienta provisions the correct Forma for Model Management licences for your team size and configures your Autodesk account — setting up the project hub, assigning administrator roles, configuring single sign-on if required and establishing the account structure that allows your CDE (Forma Data Management) to connect directly to the coordination environment.

Named-user licence assignment for all coordination team members
Autodesk Construction Cloud account and hub configuration
SSO integration with your firm's identity provider if applicable
Forma Data Management CDE connection established
Day 2–3 · Licence provisioning and account setup
03

Project Structure & Configuration

We build your coordination environment to your project requirements

This is the step most teams skip — and the reason coordination environments fail. Accienta builds the coordination project structure from the ground up: discipline packages, model upload folders, clash test configurations, issue type classifications, clash grouping rules and coordination meeting report templates. Every setting is aligned to your project's BIM Execution Plan and employer requirements.

Discipline package setup — Architecture, Structure, MEP, Civil, Specialist
Clash test configuration — hard clashes, soft clashes, clearance checks per discipline pair
Clash grouping rules to reduce noise and focus review on genuine coordination issues
Issue type library — clashes, design queries, RFI links, coordination actions
Coordination report template aligned to your BCF and employer reporting format
Day 3–6 · Full environment configuration
04

Model Onboarding

We upload and validate your first model set

Accienta works with your BIM manager to upload the first set of discipline models, validate that every model is publishing correctly, confirm that clash detection is running accurately and verify that the results are meaningful — not thousands of noise clashes that overwhelm the coordination team. We run the first clash report with you so you understand exactly what you are looking at and why.

Model format validation — IFC, NWC, RVT publish settings checked per discipline
First clash run executed and results reviewed with BIM manager
Clash grouping rules adjusted based on actual project model conditions
First coordination issue log generated and assigned to discipline leads
Day 6–8 · Model upload and first clash run
05

Training

We train every role on your live coordination environment

Accienta delivers role-specific training — not a generic platform walkthrough. BIM coordinators are trained on managing clash tests, assigning issues and producing coordination reports. Discipline leads are trained on reviewing and responding to issues assigned to them. Project managers are trained on reading the coordination dashboard and understanding what the numbers mean for programme risk.

BIM coordinator session — clash management, issue assignment, report generation
Discipline lead session — model publishing, issue response, BCF export
Project management session — dashboard reading, coordination KPIs, programme risk indicators

Forma for Model Management — Every Question GCC Teams Ask.

They are the same product under a new name. Autodesk rebranded BIM Collaborate as Forma for Model Management in March 2026 as part of the broader renaming of Autodesk Construction Cloud to Autodesk Forma. All capabilities, integrations and workflows remain identical. The only change is the product name and the licensing structure — BIM Collaborate is no longer sold as a standalone product and its capabilities are now available through the Forma for Model Management Bundle, Navisworks Manage or Forma Design Collaboration.
Yes — BIM Collaborate Pro was renamed Forma Design Collaboration in March 2026. Forma Design Collaboration includes everything in Forma for Model Management plus cloud co-authoring of Revit models — meaning multiple Revit users can work on the same model simultaneously from different locations. If your team needs cloud worksharing for Revit, Forma Design Collaboration is the correct product. If you need model coordination and clash detection without cloud co-authoring, Forma for Model Management is sufficient.
It depends on your workflow. Forma for Model Management handles cloud-based clash detection and issue tracking without requiring Navisworks on every user's machine — reviewers access the coordination environment through a browser. However, BIM coordinators who need to perform detailed clash analysis, run 4D simulations, produce NWD packages for client review or work with large federated models locally will still benefit from Navisworks Manage. Accienta advises on the right combination of tools for your team's specific coordination workflow.
Yes — subcontractors and external stakeholders can be given access to the coordination environment to view models, review clash issues assigned to them and update issue status without needing a full Forma for Model Management licence. Accienta configures the appropriate access levels for each stakeholder type — full coordination access for your BIM team, issue-review-only access for subcontractors and read-only access for client representatives.
Forma for Model Management connects natively to Autodesk Forma Data Management — the Autodesk CDE. Models published to the CDE by each discipline team are automatically available in the coordination environment without manual re-upload. When a discipline publishes a new model revision, it flows into coordination and Forma for Model Management identifies exactly what changed and what new clashes were introduced. Accienta establishes this connection during deployment and configures the publish settings for each discipline's authoring tool — Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D — so the workflow is automatic from day one.
NEOM, Saudi Aramco, Emaar, Aldar and ADNOC all specify BIM coordination deliverables in their Employer Information Requirements — including documented clash detection reports, coordination issue logs and model coordination meeting records. Forma for Model Management produces all of these deliverables in a format that satisfies those EIRs. Accienta reviews your specific project EIR and configures the coordination environment and reporting to produce exactly what your client requires.
Accienta's standard deployment takes 10 business days from licence purchase to first live coordination meeting — covering discovery, account setup, project configuration, model onboarding and role-specific training. For projects with an urgent start date, Accienta can prioritise an accelerated deployment. Book a discovery call and give us your coordination start date — we will confirm whether an accelerated timeline is achievable for your project.

Every Clash Found in Coordination Is a Clash That Does Not Reach Your Site.

GCC construction projects lose an average of 9–15% of contract value to rework caused by coordination failures. Most of those failures are detectable — they just are not detected because no one configured a proper coordination environment before the project started. Accienta deploys Forma for Model Management on your project in 10 business days. Book a 30-minute discovery call — we will review your project EIR, assess your current model coordination process and tell you exactly what needs to happen before your next coordination milestone.
