Why Accienta

Why Buy Autodesk Forma Through Accienta?

Any reseller can sell you an Autodesk Forma licence. Accienta is the only Autodesk Gold Partner in the GCC that deploys Forma with your project structures, RFI workflows, document permissions and team roles already configured — so your project team is operational from day one, not spending weeks setting up a platform under live project pressure.

Pre-Configured Project Workflows

Accienta builds your Autodesk Forma environment before your team logs in — project folder structures, RFI workflows, submittal processes, issue tracking categories, drawing register setup and document permission levels by project role and discipline. Your project team opens Forma on day one with a working environment, not a blank platform that needs weeks of internal configuration under live project pressure.

RFI and Submittal Management

Accienta configures Forma's RFI and submittal workflows for GCC construction project cycles — contractor-to-consultant RFI routing, submittal review periods aligned to your contract programme, automatic reminders, overdue escalation and audit trail reporting. On NEOM, Aramco and UAE developer projects where RFI response times are contractually governed, a correctly configured Forma workflow protects your team from contractual risk and keeps design information flowing to site on schedule.

Document Control and Drawing Register

Accienta sets up Forma's document management environment for ISO 19650-aligned naming, revision control, transmittal workflows and drawing register management. Your project team and site team access the same live document set — eliminating the parallel email registers, superseded revision risks and document version conflicts that cause construction errors and authority submission rejections on GCC projects. Every document issue is tracked, time-stamped and auditable from the first transmittal.

GCC Construction Project Experience

Accienta has deployed Autodesk Forma — and its predecessor Autodesk Construction Cloud — on active construction projects across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. We understand the specific project delivery structures, authority submission requirements and contractor-consultant workflows that GCC construction projects run on. Your Forma environment is configured for how GCC projects actually work — not a generic construction cloud setup built for European or US project structures that your team has to adapt under project pressure.

Mobile-Ready Field Team Setup

Autodesk Forma's field productivity tools — site observations, punch lists, daily reports and quality inspection forms — only work effectively when the project structure, issue categories and form templates are configured before field teams go to site. Accienta configures Forma's mobile environment for your site team roles, trains field supervisors and engineers on mobile workflows and ensures your site observations, defect lists and inspection records are captured in a format that feeds directly into your project management reporting.

BIM Model Coordination Integration

Accienta connects Forma's document environment to your BIM authoring tools — Revit model publishing workflows, Civil 3D drawing outputs, Navisworks clash detection uploads and design issue tracking linked to specific model elements. On BIM-mandated GCC projects, Forma is the CDE that holds your ISO 19650-compliant document set and provides the audit trail your employer information requirements demand at each design milestone. Accienta configures this integration before your first model is published.

BIM 360 and ACC Migration Support

If your firm is migrating from BIM 360 or the previous Autodesk Construction Cloud platform to Autodesk Forma, Accienta manages the transition — auditing your existing project structure, migrating active project data, reconfiguring workflows for the Forma environment and retraining your team on the updated interface. As of March 2026, all Autodesk Construction Cloud licences have automatically rolled into Forma-branded equivalents with no data loss — but your workflow configuration and team training need to be updated, and Accienta handles both.

Role-Based Team Training

Accienta delivers Forma training mapped to each project role — project managers on programme tracking, RFI dashboards and reporting; document controllers on drawing register management, transmittal workflows and revision control; site engineers on mobile observations, punch lists and quality inspections; BIM managers on model publishing, CDE administration and issue linking. Every training session is delivered on your own live project environment — not a generic demonstration account — so your team is productive on an active project from the first day of training.

Ongoing Forma Support and Optimisation

After deployment, Accienta provides direct support for Forma workflow failures, permission errors, document sync issues, mobile connectivity problems and Autodesk platform updates that affect your configured environment. As Autodesk continues to develop the Forma platform following the March 2026 rebrand, new features and workflow changes will affect your configured setup. Accienta monitors these updates, advises on changes that affect your GCC project workflows and reconfigures your environment when Autodesk platform changes require it — so your project team is never surprised by a platform update mid-project.

Our Process

How Accienta Deploys Autodesk Forma — From Workflow Audit to Live Project Environment

Most Autodesk Forma deployments fail not because of the platform — but because the project structure, workflows and permissions were never configured for how the team actually delivers projects. Accienta's deployment process starts with a workflow audit, builds a fully configured Forma environment for your project roles and disciplines and delivers training on your own live project. No blank platform handed over. No self-guided setup. A working Forma environment from the first log-in.

01

Workflow Mapping and Project Structure Audit

Accienta starts every Forma deployment with a workflow audit — mapping your existing RFI processes, submittal cycles, document issue workflows, drawing register structure and approval chains. We identify which workflows need to be built into Forma, which need to be redesigned for the platform and which roles need access to which project data. This audit prevents the most common Forma failure: a platform configured for a generic construction project that doesn't match the contractor-consultant-client structure your GCC projects actually run on — forcing your team to work around the platform rather than through it.

02

Project Structure and Permission Configuration

Accienta builds your Forma project environment from the ground up — folder structures aligned to ISO 19650 naming conventions, document permission levels by company, discipline and project role, drawing register configuration, transmittal workflow setup and project member access management. We configure your Forma environment for multi-party GCC projects — separating contractor, consultant and client access, setting up subcontractor document portals and establishing the approval routing that your contract requires — before a single user logs in to the platform.

03

RFI, Submittal and Issue Workflow Build

Accienta configures Forma's RFI and submittal tools for your specific project delivery structure — contractor-to-consultant RFI routing with contractual response periods, submittal review workflows with discipline-specific review paths, overdue escalation rules and audit trail reporting for contract administration. On NEOM, Aramco and UAE developer-led projects where RFI response times and submittal review periods are contractually governed, a correctly configured Forma workflow is a contractual protection tool — not just a convenience. We also configure issue tracking categories, priority levels and assignment rules so site observations and design queries are routed to the right person automatically.

04

BIM and Design Tool Integration

Accienta connects Forma to your BIM authoring environment — configuring Revit model publishing workflows into Forma's document management, Civil 3D drawing output connections, Navisworks clash detection upload workflows and design issue tracking linked to specific model elements. On BIM-mandated GCC projects, Forma is the Common Data Environment that holds your ISO 19650-compliant document set and provides the audit trail your employer information requirements demand at each design milestone. Accienta configures this integration before your first Revit model is published so your design and document environments are connected from the first issue.

05

Field and Mobile Team Deployment

Accienta configures Forma's field productivity tools — site observation templates, punch list categories, quality inspection forms, daily report structures and safety observation workflows — for your site team roles before field teams go to site. We train site supervisors, engineers and foremen on Forma's mobile interface on their own project, their own forms and their own issue categories — not a generic demonstration account. Your field team captures site data in a structured format that feeds directly into your project management reporting and contractor QA records from the first day on site.

06

Role-Based Training and Go-Live Support

Accienta delivers Forma training mapped to each project role — project managers on programme tracking, RFI dashboards and contract administration reporting; document controllers on drawing register management, transmittal workflows and revision control; site engineers on mobile observations, punch lists and quality inspections; BIM managers on model publishing, CDE administration and issue linking. After go-live, Accienta provides direct support during your first live project cycle — resolving workflow failures, permission errors and document sync issues in hours, and running a post-project review to optimise your Forma environment for the next project based on what your team actually encountered in delivery.

Built for Every Project Role

Autodesk Forma Across Every Role on a GCC Construction Project

Autodesk Forma is not a single-role platform. From the project director overseeing programme delivery to the site engineer capturing defects on a mobile device, every role on a GCC construction project has a specific function inside Forma. Understanding which role uses Forma for what — and how those roles share information inside a single connected environment — is what separates a productive project team from one that still runs parallel email registers, WhatsApp document chains and disconnected spreadsheet trackers alongside a platform they paid for but never properly set up.

Project Managers RFI status dashboards, submittal tracking, programme milestone reporting, cost event logging and contract administration — Forma gives project managers a live view of every open action across every discipline on a GCC construction project without chasing status updates by email
Document Controllers Drawing register management, revision control, transmittal workflows, document distribution by discipline and company, superseded drawing management and audit trail reporting — Forma replaces the manual document control spreadsheets that create version conflicts and authority submission errors on GCC projects
Site Engineers Mobile site observations, quality inspection checklists, defect punch lists, daily construction reports and drawing access on site — site engineers on NEOM, Aramco and UAE construction projects use Forma's mobile interface to capture site data in real time rather than on paper forms that are entered into a system days later
QA Managers Quality inspection form management, non-conformance report tracking, inspection and test plan sign-off workflows, defect close-out monitoring and QA audit trail reporting — Forma gives QA managers a structured, auditable quality record that satisfies contractor QMS requirements and client quality audit expectations on GCC projects
PMO Directors Cross-project portfolio reporting, programme-level RFI and submittal analytics, document compliance dashboards and project health indicators — PMO directors on multi-project GCC programmes use Forma to monitor delivery performance across multiple active projects from a single platform without requesting status reports from each project team
BIM Managers Model publishing workflows from Revit and Civil 3D, CDE folder administration, ISO 19650 document naming compliance, clash detection upload from Navisworks and design issue tracking linked to model elements — Forma is the CDE that makes BIM-mandated GCC projects deliverable within employer information requirements
Consultants and Design Teams Drawing issue workflows, RFI response management, design change tracking, model coordination uploads and submittal review — consultants on GCC projects use Forma to manage the design information exchange with contractors and clients through a single auditable channel rather than multiple email threads with no version control
Main Contractors Subcontractor document management, procurement submittal tracking, site coordination drawing access, RFI submission to design consultants and construction programme milestone reporting — main contractors on NEOM, Saudi Vision 2030 and UAE infrastructure projects use Forma to manage the entire document flow between their supply chain, design team and client
Client and Developer Teams Contractor submission review, design approval workflows, construction progress visibility, handover document management and asset information receipt at project completion — developer and government client teams on GCC projects use Forma to maintain visibility and control of project information delivery without being buried in contractor email submissions
Common Questions

Autodesk Forma in the GCC — Answered

The questions project managers, BIM managers, document controllers and PMO directors in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar ask before purchasing and deploying Autodesk Forma through an Autodesk partner. If yours isn't here, Accienta responds within one business day.

What is the difference between Autodesk Forma and Autodesk Construction Cloud?+
As of March 24, 2026, Autodesk Construction Cloud has been rebranded as Autodesk Forma. It is the same platform — the same tools, the same workflows, the same document management environment — with a new name that reflects Autodesk's broader AECO industry positioning. If your firm has existing ACC licences, they have automatically rolled into Forma-branded equivalents with no data migration, no workflow disruption and no changes to your existing project environments. If you are currently using BIM 360, you are on the predecessor platform and should be migrating to Forma — Accienta manages that migration including project data transfer, workflow reconfiguration and team retraining.
Is Autodesk Forma required on NEOM, Saudi Aramco and UAE government projects?+
Yes — and the requirement is increasingly explicit in project briefs and employer information requirements. NEOM's digital delivery framework requires a Common Data Environment for all document management, BIM model sharing and project information delivery — and Autodesk Forma is the Autodesk-native CDE that meets those requirements. Saudi Aramco contractor packages specify digital document management requirements that Forma's transmittal and drawing register tools satisfy. UAE government infrastructure projects and developer-led programmes are increasingly specifying Forma or ACC as the project CDE in their employer information requirements. If your firm is tendering for these programmes with email-based document management and no CDE, you are not compliant with the information delivery requirements your client has specified.
What is the difference between Autodesk Forma and BIM 360?+
BIM 360 was Autodesk's previous construction management platform, replaced by Autodesk Construction Cloud and now rebranded as Autodesk Forma. BIM 360 is no longer being developed — Autodesk has migrated all active development to the Forma platform. If your firm is still running on BIM 360, you are on a legacy platform that will not receive new features, and your workflows may be affected as Autodesk phases out BIM 360 support. Accienta manages BIM 360 to Forma migrations — auditing your existing BIM 360 project structure, transferring active project data, reconfiguring your workflows for the Forma environment and retraining your team so the migration does not disrupt live project delivery.
Can Autodesk Forma replace our current document management system?+
Yes — and for most GCC construction firms, Forma is a significant upgrade over the combination of SharePoint, email chains, WhatsApp document sharing and manual Excel drawing registers that most teams currently use. Forma provides version-controlled document management, transmittal workflows with read receipts, drawing register automation, revision control and a full audit trail of every document issue — all in one platform accessible from desktop and mobile. The critical difference from generic document management systems like SharePoint is that Forma is built specifically for construction project workflows — RFIs, submittals, punch lists, quality inspections — and connects directly to your BIM authoring tools without custom integration work.
Does Autodesk Forma work with Revit, Civil 3D and Navisworks?+
Yes — Forma is Autodesk's native CDE and is designed to work with the full Autodesk AEC tool stack. Revit models publish directly to Forma's document management environment with version control and model viewer access. Civil 3D drawings and surface data can be published and shared through Forma's document workflows. Navisworks clash detection results upload to Forma's issue tracking system and can be linked to specific model elements for coordinated resolution. Accienta configures these integrations as part of the Forma deployment — so your design tools and your project management platform are connected from the first model issue, not treated as separate systems that your team has to manually keep in sync.
How does Autodesk Forma support ISO 19650 compliance on GCC projects?+
ISO 19650 requires that project information is managed through a Common Data Environment with controlled naming conventions, revision workflows, approval states and audit trails. Autodesk Forma is built to satisfy these requirements — but only if it is configured correctly for your project's information requirements. Accienta configures Forma with ISO 19650-aligned folder structures, document naming conventions, revision control workflows and approval state management so your document environment meets the CDE requirements your employer information requirements specify. On GCC projects where ISO 19650 compliance is required at tender stage, Accienta can provide documentation of your Forma configuration as evidence of CDE compliance for your BIM submission.
Can subcontractors and external consultants access Autodesk Forma?+
Yes — Autodesk Forma has a guest access and partner access model that allows subcontractors, external consultants and client teams to access specific project areas without requiring a full Forma licence. Accienta configures your Forma project with the correct permission structure for your contract arrangement — separating main contractor, subcontractor, consultant and client access, setting up document portals for each party and controlling which document sets each external party can view, upload or comment on. On GCC projects where your supply chain includes firms in multiple countries, Forma's cloud-based access model means every party works from the same live document set regardless of location — eliminating the file version conflicts that occur when documents are shared by email across time zones.
How long does Autodesk Forma deployment take?+
A standard Autodesk Forma deployment — covering workflow audit, project structure configuration, permission setup, RFI and submittal workflow build, BIM tool integration, field team mobile configuration and role-based training — typically takes five to eight business days depending on project complexity and the number of roles being trained. Accienta can configure a Forma environment for an urgent project start in as little as three business days for a focused deployment covering core document management and RFI workflows, with additional configuration delivered in parallel with the live project. Firms migrating from BIM 360 typically require an additional two to three days for data migration and workflow reconfiguration.
What happens to our Forma environment when a project completes?+
At project completion, your Autodesk Forma environment contains the full audit trail of every document issue, RFI response, submittal approval, site observation and quality inspection from the project — this is the as-built information record that clients, developers and government authorities increasingly require at handover on GCC projects. Accienta advises on handover document packaging within Forma, asset information delivery to facilities management teams and project data archiving so your completed project record is preserved in a structured, accessible format. For ongoing projects, Accienta runs post-project reviews to optimise your Forma configuration based on what worked and what didn't in live delivery — so each subsequent project runs on an improved environment.
